The law and the prophets until John prophesied the kingdom.
And I say that ye repent, for the kingdom of heaven is nigh at hand to ye . The people said, What shall we do then? Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves [approach,] break through and steal: Lay up for yourselves a treasure but in heaven where thieves do not approach, [break through] nor steal: neither where moth [and rust] doth corrupt and that ye have [treasures  but in heaven] which [thieves do ] not [approach, break through, nor steal], and that [neither moth] nor rust [doth corrupt]. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. The light of the body is the eye. If thine eye be single, thy whole body shall therefore be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
