It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field, which is the least of all seeds; but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs and becometh a great tree so that the fowls of the air lodge in the branches of it. And he said, a man sowed seed in the ground; and slept. First the blade sprung and grow up, but when the seed brought forth fruit, then [he] put in the sickle because the harvest is come. So is the kingdom. Saith he, The harvest truly is, but the workers are few. Jew, Gentile, bond, free, male, female, He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me, scattereth. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he send forth labourers into his harvest. And he said, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. They understood not that he spake to them.
