And when Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy
sins be forgiven thee. And certain of the scribes, reasoning, said in
themselves, This man speaketh blasphemies. Who can forgive sins but God only?
And when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he said unto them, Reason ye in your
hearts
whether is easier to say, Thy sins
be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise and walk?
But that ye may know that the Son
of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go into thine house.
And immediately he arose before
them, took up that, and departed to his house. And they were all amazed and they glorified
God, saying, We saw it.
And he cast out many devils and
suffered not to speak for they knew him, and healed that were sick.
