He asked his disciples, saying,
Whom do men say that I am? And they said, John the Baptist; some, Elias; and
others, one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And
Peter answereth and saith, Thou art the Christ. He charged them that they should
tell no man. Jesus said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thou
hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto
babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are
delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; the
Father, save the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him. Verily I say unto
you, the very hairs of your head are all numbered but there be some standing
here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God come.
