Now at that feast, he release one prisoner unto them, the whom they desired. Pilate saith unto them, Will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews? But the chief priests and all the people cried out, saying, Away with this man, and release Barabbas (who murder in the insurrection). Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then Jesus? They cried, Crucify him. And Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? Behold, I find no fault in him. They cried out the more, saying, Crucify him. Crucify him. And then Pilate released Barabbas unto them. And when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
