Comment:
Although the references works are correct to say that the word "Nazareth" is not derived from the word "Nazarite", the two words are nevertheless related insofar as their meanings are concerned. The relationship of their meanings can be seen by a comparison of

Specifically, there is clearly a similarity of meaning between an untrimmed vine and a plant (or hair) which grows abundantly. That is to say, a pun may have been intended, on the part of God, between the word "Nazarite" and the word "Nazarene" which is what anybody born in Nazareth would be called. This idea is at least somewhat supported by the testimony in paragraph 118-d which shows that Jesus-Holy Ghost became a Nazarite during the so-called "Last Supper" in that he-He voluntarily stopped drinking wine on Earth. At least, until the kingdom of God comes on Earth as it is in Heaven. It nevertheless remains true that it cannot be categorically stated that God intended to make a pun between the words "Nazarite" and "Nazarene". By the same token, it cannot be categorically stated that God had no such intention. The possibility was therefore mentioned here.
