Contents of this page:
This page contains a worksheet for the book called Revelation.

Note: This book, the book of Revelation, was originally ignored when looking for confirmation of statements in the first four books of the Christian extension of the Jewish Bible, which extension is called the "New Testament". Therefore no verses of this book became part of This Good Riddle. This worksheet for the book of Revelation is intended to rectify this situation. This worksheet was made from a copy of the list at http://www.muslimhope.com/BibleAnswers/rev.htm

Typical layout of an item in this worksheet:
1st is the item number in the list;
2nd is the concept or phrase;
3rd is its status;
4th is the verse (or verses) in the book of Revelation ;
5th is the verse (or verses) in the rest of the Bible, which may also mention a paragraph (or sub-paragraph) in This Good Riddle at
index.html  or a page accessed by a link from there.

Item 01]

Bear witness to the testimony of Christ.

Status: the fragment "and bare record of that and of all the testimony" was confirmed to be essential by these verses instead of the concept which was stated in the list. These newly confirmed to be essential words have been added to the collection of fragments as frag-003.

{Revelation 1:2} Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

{John-1 1:2} (For the life was manifested, and we have seen [it,] and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
{John-1 1:3} That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
{John-3 1:5} Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;
{John-3 1:12} Demetrius hath good report of all [men,] and of the truth itself: yea, and we [also] bear record; and ye know that our record is true.

Item 02]

Blessed are those who hear.

Status: this concept is confirmed to be essential by the implications of the other verses. Rev 1:3 is therefore redundant.

{Revelation 1:3} Blessed [is] he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time [is] at hand.

061-a
Blessed are eyes see for I tell you That many prophets have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Matthew 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
Matthew 13:17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Luke 10:23 And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:
Luke 10:24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Item 03]

Sevenfold Spirit

Status: this concept is not confirmed to be essential by these verses. See paragraph 030.

{Revelation 1:4} John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
{Revelation 4:5} And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and [there were] seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

{Zechariah 3:9} For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone [shall be] seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

{Isaiah 11:2} And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Item 04]

Jesus: firstborn of the dead

Status: this concept is not confirmed to be essential by these verses.

{Revelation 1:5} And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

{Colossians 1:15} Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
{Hebrews 2:6} But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? {Hebrews 2:9} But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Item 05]

Jesus freed us from sins by His blood

Status: the concept above is not confirmed to be essential by these verses, but the fragment "his own blood" is confirmed to be essential. This fragment was added to the collection of fragments as frag-037.

{Revelation 1:5} And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

{Romans 5:9} Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
{Hebrews 9:12} Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us. ]
{Hebrews 9:13} For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: {Hebrews 9:14} How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
{Hebrews 10:19} Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

Item 06]

We are kings and priests to God

Status: this concept is not confirmed to be essential by these verses.

{Revelation 1:5} And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

{Peter-1 2:4} To whom coming, [as unto] a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, [and] precious,
{Peter-1 2:6} Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
{Peter-1 2:9} But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

Item 07]

Jesus comes with the clouds; every eye shall see Jesus return

Status: the concept that Jesus comes in the clouds and that he will be seen is confirmed to be essential without Rev 1:7. See below.

Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of
the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

102-c.htm
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mark 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Luke 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

{Acts 1:7} And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Daniel 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
Comment: Daniel 7:13 is among the verses which establish paragraph 125-f.htm
instead of among the verses which establish paragraph 102-c.htm

Item 08]

The Son of man will be like lightning that flashes

Status: this concept is already confirmed to be essential; but what has this to do with the book of Revelation?

102-d
For as the lightning shineth so shall also the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Luke 17:24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

Item 09]

The wicked pierced Jesus and will mourn

Status: it is confirmed to be essential without the book of Revelation that Jesus was pierced; but it is not confirmed to be essential that the wicked (or anybody else) will mourn because of having pierced him despite the fact that it is also confirmed to be essential that there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

125-g
And they shall look upon him whom they pierced.

Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
John 19:37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

Item 10]

Second death

Status: although there is a situation which can appropriately be described by the phrase "second death", the existence of the situation (mentioned at paragraph 019 ) was confirmed to be essential without using the book of Revelation which is therefore redundant in this instance. All of the mentioned verses are nevertheless displayed below.

Revelation 2:11} He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
{Revelation 14:10} The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
{Revelation 14:11} And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
{Revelation 19:20} And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
{Revelation 20:10} And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are,] and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
{Revelation 20:11} And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
{Revelation 20:12} And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
{Revelation 20:13} And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
{Revelation 20:14} And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
{Revelation 20:15} And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
{Revelation 21:8} But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

{Isaiah 66:24} And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not
die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

Matthew 13:25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

Matthew 13:26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

Matthew 13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

Matthew 13:28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

Matthew 13:29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Matthew 13:31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

Matthew 13:32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

Matthew 13:33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

Matthew 13:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

{Matthew 13:36} Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his
disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

{Matthew 13:37} He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

{Matthew 13:38} The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked [one;]

{Matthew 13:39} The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

{Matthew 13:40} As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

{Matthew 13:41} The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

{Matthew 13:42} And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

{Matthew 13:43} Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

{Matthew 13:50} And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

{Matthew 25:41} Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

{Matthew 25:42} For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

{Matthew 25:43} I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

{Matthew 25:44} Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

{Matthew 25:45} Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did [it] not to one of the least of these, ye did [it] not to me.

{Matthew 25:46} And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Item 11]

Let him who has ears, let him hear

Status: this concept was confirmed to be essential by the verses shown in 022-f.  These verses of Revelation are therefore redundant.

{Revelation 2:29} He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
{Revelation 3:6} He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
{Revelation 3:13} He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
{Revelation 3:22} He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

{Matthew 11:15} He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

{Mark 4:23} If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

Luke 8:8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Item 12]

We must remain watchful

Status: this concept was confirmed to be essential in paragraph 099 and also in paragraph 102. These verses of Revelation are therefore redundant.

{Revelation 3:2} Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. {Revelation 3:3}Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Mark 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
Mark 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Item 13]

We do not know when Jesus will return

Status: this concept was confirmed to be essential in paragraph 099 and also in paragraph 102. These verses of Revelation are therefore redundant.

{Revelation 3:3}Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Item 15]

The Book of Life

Status: the phrase the "book of life" is not confirmed to be essential by these verses. What is confirmed to be essential instead is the fragment "And whosoever was, that their names are yet found written in my book, I will not blot him out; but thou, thy same, shall be of the great which shall stand there." This fragment has been added to the collection of fragments as frag-004.

{Revelation 3:5} He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

{Revelation 13:8} And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

{Revelation 17:8} The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

{Revelation 20:12} And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

{Revelation 20:15} And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

{Revelation 21:27} And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither [whatsoever] worketh abomination, or [maketh] a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

{Daniel 12:1} And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation [even] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

{Luke 10:20} Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

{Exodus 32:32} Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.

{Exodus 32:33} And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book

{Psalm 69:28} Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

Item 14]

Never be blotted out of the Book of Life

Status: the concept of "never be blotted out" is confirmed to be essential by these verses (and additional verses, see item 15 above) for some people; but not for other people.

{Revelation 3:5} He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
{Revelation 20:12} And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Item 16]

What God shuts none can open. What God opens none can shut

Status: the words He [is] the key of David. He openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth have now been confirmed to be essential, and have been added to the collection of fragments as frag-002.

Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

Isaiah 22:22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

Item 17]

Have an open door

opened door

Status: the words above were confirmed to be essential by the verses below. These words seems to be related to Item 16], so these words have been added to frag-002

{Revelation 3:8} I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

{Acts 14:27} And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

{Corinthians-1 16:9}
For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and [there are] many adversaries.

Item 18]

We will receive crowns and rewards

Status: although sub-paragraph 092-f confirms that we may receive a reward, the equivalence of crowns and rewards is not yet confirmed. What is instead confirmed, by the verses below, are the words "man crown fast". These words have therefore been saved as frag-005.

{Revelation 3:11} Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

{Corinthians-1 3:12} Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
{Corinthians-1 3:13} Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
{Corinthians-1 3:14} If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
{Corinthians-1 3:15} If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

{Philippians 4:1} Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, [my] dearly beloved.

Item 19]

We are a part of the Temple of God

Status: This fragment was eliminated. Please see the revision at frag-006.

{Revelation 3:12} Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and [I will write upon him] my new name.

{Corinthians-1 3:16} Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
{Corinthians-1 3:17} If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are.

{Peter-1 2:5} Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
{Peter-1 2:6} Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

Item 20]

As many as are loved are chastened

Status: a slightly larger concept was confirmed to be essential words of God by these verses, to wit: My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth and rebuketh. He correcteth as father the son. These newly confirmed to be essential words of God have been added to the collection of fragments as frag-001.

{Revelation 3:19} As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

{Proverbs 3:11} My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
{Proverbs 3:12} For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son [in whom] he delighteth.

{Hebrews 12:5} And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
{Hebrews 12:6} For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
{Hebrews 12:7} If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
{Hebrews 12:8} But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
{Hebrews 12:9} Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected [us,] and we gave [them] reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
{Hebrews 12:10} For they verily for a few days chastened [us] after their own pleasure; but he for [our] profit, that [we] might be partakers of his holiness.
{Hebrews 12:11} Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Item 21]

The throne room in Heaven

Status: This item is being revised.

This was originally added to the collection of fragments as frag-007.

Revelation 4:1 ¶After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

Revelation 4:2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

Revelation 4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

Revelation 4:4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

Revelation 4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Revelation 4:6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

Revelation 4:7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

Revelation 4:8 ¶And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

Revelation 4:9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,

Revelation 4:10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

{Isaiah 6:1} In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

{Isaiah 6:2} Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

{Isaiah 6:3} And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, [is] the LORD of hosts: the whole earth [is] full of his glory.

{Isaiah 6:4} And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

{Isaiah 6:5} Then said I, Woe [is] me! for I am undone; because I [am] a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

{Isaiah 6:6} Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, [which] he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

{Isaiah 6:7} And he laid [it] upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

Ezekiel 1:1 ¶Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
Ezekiel 1:10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
Ezekiel 10:1 ¶Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
Ezekiel 10:2 And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.
Ezekiel 10:3 Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
Ezekiel 10:4 Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD'S glory.
Ezekiel 10:5 And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh.
Ezekiel 10:6 And it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stood beside the wheels.
Ezekiel 10:7 And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out.
Ezekiel 10:8 ¶And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man's hand under their wings.
Ezekiel 10:9 And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was as the colour of a beryl stone.
Ezekiel 10:10 And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel.
Ezekiel 10:11 When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went.
Ezekiel 10:12 And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.
Ezekiel 10:13 As for the wheels, it was cried unto them in my hearing, O wheel.
Ezekiel 10:14 And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
Ezekiel 10:15 And the cherubims were lifted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar.
Ezekiel 10:16 And when the cherubims went, the wheels went by them: and when the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also turned not from beside them.
Ezekiel 10:17 When they stood, these stood; and when they were lifted up, these lifted up themselves also: for the spirit of the living creature was in them.
Ezekiel 10:18 Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.
Ezekiel 10:19 And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD'S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
Ezekiel 10:20 This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubims.
Ezekiel 10:21 Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.
Ezekiel 10:22 And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward.

NE2 16:1 In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

NE2 16:4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

NE2 16:5 Then said I: Wo is unto me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips; and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts.

NE2 16:6 Then flew one of the seraphim unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar;

NE2 16:7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said: Lo, this has touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
